Q&A - Competition

How did you get started?

When I was injured playing hockey for Great Britain prior to the Barcelona Olympics, my rehab consisted of bike riding and one thing led to another......

List your competitive highlights:

Being selected to ride by Giant Bikes at the Mountain Bike World Cup in my first competitive season and riding for Great Britain that season too at the World Champs in Vail. Competing in over 30 World Cups during my career. Winning the World Masters Title in Bromont Canada in 2001. Becoming European Masters Champion twice in Italy. Retaining my World title in Pra Loup last year.

What are you planning for next season?

To stay fit and healthy during the off season, ski hard and train hard. Race the European Marathon Downhill Series and try to win as many races as possible. Race the European roaunds of the World Cup and represent my sponsors to the best of my ability on and off the bike!

What has been your biggest accomplishment?

Staying fit and healthy in a dangerous sport for over fifteen years and owning the Rainbow Stripes!!!
